Branded working with the Inspiration Children’s Awards
Branded are proud to be working with the Inspirational Children & Young People’s Awards. Together, we are delighted to announce our documentary ‘Britain’s Most Inspirational Children’ which follows the awards and the amazing stories of the people behind them, will follow in the New Year.
The awards ceremony, the brainchild of mental health advocate Paul Scates (pictured above and below), aims to recognise and reward the young people that have gone above and beyond to better the lives of themselves and others.
Paul is mastermind, founder and organiser of the awards and has both invested financially and battled tirelessly to create something very special for these inspirational young people and to shine a light on their achievements. Many of the award winners have shown great strength during their battles with mental health issues and learning disabilities, whereas others have independently raised impressive sums of money for charity. Each have an impressive story showing great courage and fortitude.
Branded have been keeping a close eye on the career of Paul for a long time. From the very beginning, his personal and professional journey inspired Charlotte Fantelli our MD and with the pair’s mutual passion for mental health advocacy and Charlotte’s keen eye; knowing Paul was perfect for TV presenting roles, the couple were always destined to work together.
Charlotte says; ‘Paul has inspired me from day one. His own journey is heart-wrenching, his courage overwhelming and the incredible things he is doing need to be highlighted in the media. Luckily he also has a great personality and face for TV, so we have been looking at the right opportunities to create commercial, engaging and most importantly inspirational television together.’
‘The awards provide us with a wonderful way in to incredible stories of young people doing the most amazing things. We weave through the story of the awards and Paul’s journey that lead him here. There are lots of celebrities involved, but most importantly they, and we, are coming together to tell these deeply personal and motivating stories. I feel very privileged that Paul chose us to do this with him.’
The awards took place on Friday 12th October at the Bournemouth International Centre during Music in the Mind a wonderful night of music and art celebrating wellbeing.
Our film crew, who have extensive experience in event videography, were accompanied by Charlotte Fantelli (MD) and Conor Earley (Operations Manager and PA to Charlotte) who oversaw the entire filming project – from setting up the equipment to actively conducting the celebrity interviews. Also there on the evening were our fabulous camera crew and many very talented young students from Bournemouth University.
Prior to the ceremony, Charlotte and the Branded film crew accompanied Paul to the home of football legend Harry Redknapp. Here we were able to capture the moment one of the young award winners, Luke aged 9, met Harry as well as conducting several interviews – all whilst being made to feel very welcome in the Redknapp’s beautiful Sandbanks home.
After the shoot with the Redknapps, Paul brought award winner Joshua, aged 11, to Edinburgh with Conor and the Branded crew to fulfil the boy’s dream of being on stage. Here they met the highly talented Denise Welch and got the chance to have a tour around backstage of Calendar Girls. Conor, Joe North and Stephen Noble ensured the day’s shoot went to plan. Conor took the reins directing the crew and interviewing.
All of us here at Branded Video Production have felt privileged to have been involved with these fantastic awards. We look forward to bringing you more on our related documentary in the New Year.
